Artist’s statement

I work with dance, drawing, printmaking, textiles, writing and installation.

Core to my practice is color, female body and the landscapes that surround my doing- situated and emotional. I use color as a way to interrupt perception and suggest the instability of what we seek as fixed. As a woman, I inhabit a body historically loaded with regulations. The work is to disrupt some of its constraints and give space for its sensual and playful desire. To be have migrated keeps me dialoguing with notions of crossings and displacements. Movement is often the medium for enlarging my understanding on what fluxes does and means.

Bio

I was born in Santiago. I am currently based in Berlin.

I studied contemporary dance at The Place, London after short dives inside BAs on Fine Arts and Architecture. I hold an MA in Bühnenbild Szenischer Raum, Technische Universität Berlin.

Regarding my visual practice, I work mainly with tufted textiles, drawing and printmaking. Exhibitions include; Long Term Short Stay (DE FABRIEK, Eindhoven / 2025), UPSIDE DOWN, (NUMM, Tokyo / 2025), NO KNOT (KITKAT CLUB 2024), Unknotted (KSTN and ESSAY project Raum, Berlin - solo show / 2023) , Crossing Borders (Art Kreuzberg, Berlin / 2023) , Year End (Lite-Haus, Berlin / 2023), Art and Nature (Marsano Vintage and Rosenbaum Advisory, Berlin / 2023), SUD ACA (HAF, Barcelona/ 2023), UNTANGLED (Tic Tac Art Center, Brussels -solo show / 2023), Vertebras (Estudio Abierto, Oaxaca / 2023)

As dancer, I am collaborating since 2015 with the performing company United-C (NL).
