Artist’s statement

My work explores the raw vulnerability and power of the male body.
Through fictional characters placed in unusual, often nude scenarios, I openly share my fantasies with the viewer. I primarily work with traditional mediums such as pencil and watercolor, drawing inspiration from pop culture. I aim for my work to be seen as ironic, sensual, provocative, or a combination of all three.

Bio

Francesco Brunetti was born in Naples, Italy, in 1995. He studied Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, earning both a BFA and a Master’s degree, graduating with top honors. He then moved to London to further his education, studying Museum Cultures at Birkbeck, University of London, and Art and Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art. He currently lives in London.

Brunetti’s work has been presented internationally, both through formal exhibitions and cultural or philanthropic displays. He has also been invited to perform live drawing events, creating his depictions of naked men in front of an audience, including in Los Angeles.

His pieces have been showcased across Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States.
