Desirevirus #10

Desirevirus is a visual infection. It doesn’t spread through air or blood, but through the eyes. We see someone — and we feel it: the heat in the chest, the thrill of recognition, the strange pull of desire. This virus doesn't make us sick. It awakens us. Smaller than any microbe and invisible to the eye, its true form lives in our imagination. It takes shape through bodies, colors, surfaces, curves — or sometimes, in clay. My sculptures are its carriers: fragile, evolving beings that remind us how vulnerable we are to beauty. This is the only virus we are glad to catch. — Laszlo Nemeth
