This painting is part of the series Exposed, or To Be Revealed. The anonymous figure, dressed in 1920s-inspired clothing, recalls the women portrayed by artists like Mucha, Klimt, Eckmann, and Christiansen—often seen from below, elevated as divine icons of beauty. Yet their models were frequently prostitutes or women of modest means. They seem to reveal themselves, but in truth, they were being displayed.
